Is it difficult to work with linen?

Railroad Stitches

Railroading is a technique that helps stitches lie flat. When completing one half of the cross stitch, pass the needle between the two strands of thread. This takes more time and concentration, but allows for flat stitches when working on uneven fabrics such as linen.
